Cate Crosby is an Assistant Professor of TESOL in the Department of Foreign Languages at West Chester University of Pennsylvania in West Chester, Pennsylvania USA.  She obtained her Ph.D. in Foreign and Second Language Education from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio USA in 2007.  Her publications include articles in the English for Specific Purposes Journal (2008) and Essential Teacher (2006), and chapters in the Handbook of Research on Computer-Enhanced Language Acquisition and Learning (2008) and Generation 1.5 in College Composition: Teaching Academic Writing to U.S.-Educated Learners of ESL (in press).  Her research interests include academic literacies, second language reading and writing, technology in the ESOL classroom, and Generation 1.5 learners.
